Jesse Nunes - Unreal Technical Artist

I’m Jesse Nunes, an Unreal Technical Artist with over three years of experience in the industry. Most of my recent work has been on the full-length feature film Rogue Trooper, where I focused on Unreal Engine pipeline development and technical support.

During production I:

  • Operated and managed the inertial MVN motion capture system, preparing and organising data for handover to the Animation Team.

  • Created and maintained the Unreal Engine side of the Virtual Camera (VCAM) system, enabling the Director of Photography to capture shots seamlessly in-engine.

  • Developed custom tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks, including:

  • Worked around Unreal Engine limitations and bugs throughout production to ensure a stable and efficient workflow.

  • Administered and streamlined Perforce version control, onboarding new artists and resolving asset conflicts to keep the Unreal pipeline running smoothly throughout production.
